The Dynamic Integrated T1 Service Advantage

Written by: ShopForT1.net - Aug 20, 2008

When shopping for integrated voice and data service for your business consider a dynamic T1 line from a Tier 1 provider. Many people think all integrated service is channelized, meaning a set number of dedicated T1 voice channels and a set number of data channels. For example, if you have 11 voice lines and 13 data lines, you can only get 13 x 64K of high speed internet access. Even if you are not using voice channels, you still only get 832 kbps of transfer speed!

How do you get more bang for the buck out of your telecom budget? Simple! Use an independent broker to locate a T1 provider that offers dynamic integrated services which allows you to reclaim the unused voice channels and convert them to data channels while not in use. In our same example, no voice channel in use equals a full T1 (1.54 mbps) of high speed internet access. You can get more performance out of a single 24 channel T1 line by dynamically allocating signals instead of fixing the voice and data channels and getting pinched on both sides. The really cool thing about dynamic integrated T1 service is that the cost is not any higher than a channelized T1 service.

Whether you're considering a dynamic t1 line or a channelized t1 line for your integrated voice and data service, make sure you use a broker to help guide you through the providers and plans available. A telecom broker will offer unbiased advice and help make difficult decisions a no brainer!
